What is AET?
AET is a non-Governmental organisation with bases in both Lusaka, Zambia and London, UK (and, of course, supporters in many countries).
We work with local partners in Zambia, pioneering projects that empower local Africans through two pillars: Education and Enterprise. From our base in Lusaka, Zambia, we in AET support a number of projects.

Living on the streets would be a terrifying prospect for anyone. But for these already-traumatised children, it is even worse. We are not necessarily talking teenagers here, but of children as young as four. It is not uncommon for the younger ones to sleep in drains to avoid unwelcome attentions, or possible brutalisation by older children and adults. When one of our trustees drove down Independence Avenue every morning he would see these scenes – children emerging from the drain culvert close to Parliament and the French Embassy.
